What message is (or was) on your answering machine?

I used to have this message on my voice mailbox:

"Greetings. This is Science Officer Spock, and currently there are no lifeforms available to take your call. But at the prearrange audio signal, please feel free to leave any verbal communications you feel is necessary. Live long and prosper."

If you're old/young enough to remember…(2 part question)

1. What were you doing on November 22, 1963?

2. Do you believe that President Kennedy's assassination was part of a conspiracy or not? (You really don't need to elaborate your answer)

Me: that was a roughly 10 years before my time, but I do believe the President's assassination was a conspiracy (and that's all I have to say about it).

When giving a gift (birthdays, Christmas/Chanukah, Easter, etc.....)do you prefer to make it yourself or troll all the stores you can think of to find just the right gift?

Generally both. As a rule I like to make my own gift if I have the time (and money), but there are times when I see something really nice in the shops I'll buy it.

Do you dress up for Halloween? Whether it's to dish out treats or just to have a good time?

I do. Sounds silly, but the little ones that come to my door seem a little more at ease when they see "a big people dress-up just like them."

If you could meet anyone from your flist, who would that person(s) be?

If it were possible, I would say everyone. Naturally, not all at once since that is humanly impossible - unless it was a prearranged meeting (area).

Although I did meet [info]milambar a couple of years ago. He was in Halifax visiting another friend of his when we met up to have coffee and a chat. Unfortunately, I was bit of a chatter bug..... I tend to be that way when I'm nervous.

Something to ponder

Uncle Henry was driving to Halifax when he spotted a big green gorilla on the side of the road. He screeched to a stop, jumped out of his car. He saw the outline of a number on the gorilla. He couldn't quite see the number, but he knew it was a 4 digit number. And:

1) He remembered seeing a number 1.

2) In the hundred's place he remembers the number is 3 times the number in the thousand's place.

3) He said the number in the one's place is 4 times the number in the ten's place.

4) Finally he said the number 2 is sitting in the thousand's place.

What is the number?

(No this is not a homework question)

EDIT: I personally can't really decide between Steve, David and Jacques since they're all taught us so much in their own unique way.
